A full examination can take up to 45 minutes depending on what tests are undertaken.

A routine eye examination is normally recommended every two years. However, certain conditions, such as diabetes and developing cataracts, require more frequent examinations and patients are advised when this is the case. Patients are also sent reminders when their examination is due.

Yes, we bulk bill most examinations directly to Medicare.

Yes, we have the facility to directly process your claim on all private health funds.

Yes as it is not yet covered by Medicare and cannot be claimed on most private health funds. We are hopeful this will change in the future.
A reduced charge applies for pensioners, health care card holders, seniors and children.

We have a wide range of frames in stock. If you can’t find a suitable frame we can also contact our suppliers for further options.

Yes, for all examinations an appointment is required. Simply call 9894 4334.

  • Tuesday : Closed
  • Wednesday: 9:00 am to 5:00 pm
  • Thursday : 9:00 am to 5:00 pm
  • Friday : 9:00 am to 5:00 pm
  • Saturday : 9:00 am to 12:00 pm
    Sunday: Closed

Optometrists are qualified to examine your eyes and to detect, diagnose and manage vision problems. They can often make vision clearer with glasses, contact lenses or other visual aids, or may prescribe exercises to strengthen the muscles in your eyes. They can advise and manage many aspects of your eye health.

Ophthalmologists are medical doctors. They have completed specialist training in surgery of the eyes. They diagnose and treat all eye diseases and perform eye surgery when necessary.

You can request a copy of your prescription at any time.

Your existing frame can be used for new lenses subject to a check for its condition and suitability by us and the lens laboratory.

Yes. We conduct a general examination and any extra tests as required. Any VicRoad forms can then be completed. We may even be able to lodge the form electronically for you directly with VicRoads.
